I have a project called ILLY BOGART in which I play bass foot pedals (like organ pedals) and tenor saxophone at the same time. Sometimes I think this is a really great thing, and sometimes possibly the worst idea I’ve ever come up with. Either way, it’s pretty fun - I think in another life I could have been a bassist. Here’s a clip from a gig a few months back in San Francisco. It’s an original tune of mine called “Smell Mop (Who?)”.
